Junior Accountant/Analyst
The Junior Accountant/Analyst will report to the Controller and will support efforts related to ensuring the company’s accounting is executed accurately, efficiently and in compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards. Job Duties:
- Help analyze business activity within operational areas
- Spend a portion of time on special projects (e.g., improving documentation, analytical reporting)
- Assist with the general ledger close process including financial statement review and analysis from both U.S. GAAP and management perspective
- Provide accounting and general ledger business partner support and act as a liaison to selected business groups across finance
- Prepare monthly journal entries and support for the general ledger close process as needed
- Assist in the coordination of financial statement audits and reviews, including the preparation of audit schedules
- Assist in the presentation of accounting analysis during the monthly & quarterly close meetings
- Provide a high level of customer service within finance and to other business partners
- Produce standard and ad-hoc reporting to analyze trends vs. prior quarter and prior year for the statement of operations and the balance sheet
- Communicate with confidence during close meetings on assigned balance sheet areas
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting preferred
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- 0-2 years relevant experience
