In this full-time role, the responsibilities are broader than a similar role in established companies. As an ideal candidate and marketing athlete, you’re smart, creative, and fully engaged, with excellent people and communication skills and the ability to collaborate with, and take direction from, the leadership team. You’ll have various responsibilities spanning several aspects of marketing – product, channel, digital, email, communications, etc. We’ll work together to continue scaling the marketing function, bringing on resources, vendors, and technologies to address changing needs and priorities.

Overview of Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for a broad range of marketing activities with a diverse set of business partners, including:

  • Writing engaging copy for all channels, including partner and direct-to-consumer
  • Generating copy and content to support internal needs and specific account-based needs
  • Assist in creating, recommending, and implementing marketing programs and campaigns
  • Gathering and reporting customer feedback across touchpoints, including NPS
  • Securing customer feedback and reviews, and coordinating written and video-based testimonials
  • Helping plan, coordinate and execute trade shows and events
  • Managing social media properties and engagement
  • Interfacing with B2B partners as needed
  • Helping maintain the company’s web properties
  • Helping maintain and leverage email marketing and eCRM tools
  • Assisting with PR/communications needs
  • Contributing to the development and management of a marketing budget

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Individual must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision managing projects through completion. Candidates must be prepared to show examples of previous work.
  • Proven ability to produce effective content pillars, email marketing programs, and associated assets such as blog entries, ebooks, etc.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools/platforms, e.g., ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, or equivalent platform (especially with respect to campaigns, leads, and reporting)
  • Ability to communicate and present metrics effectively to support strategic recommendations
  • Strong understanding of digital communication strategies, both written and visual, deliver-ability, and segmentation practices
  • Good analytical and technical skills
  • Good project management and organizational skills
  • Driven self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently and as a team
  • Proficient in Word, Excel (including pivot tables), PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop


  • BA/BS in business, marketing, or related field is required, with at least 2 to 3 years of marketing communications, direct marketing, and/or product marketing or related experience.
  • Demonstrated marketing acumen
  • Experience with technical products, including consumer electronics, is desired.
  • Prior experience in a startup or smaller firm is preferred, or alternately, a strong desire to leap into this type of environment and a great understanding of what that means.
