Each year, electrical fires claim hundreds of lives and injure thousands. Property damage is an estimated $1.5 billion per year. Our home intelligence technology can detect and alert to potential fire hazards before they turn into electrical fires.
Meet Ting™, DIY technology that continuously monitors the entire home for electrical fire hazards with just one smart plug. It’s the biggest advance in fire safety since the smoke detector! We monitor the electrical network of the home at extremely high resolution to detect the main precursors of electrical fires, micro-arcs and sparks that develop in wires and cords, so fires can actually be prevented.
Ting also monitors home power quality so enterprise customers and homeowners can safeguard appliances and electronics.

The Ting Dashboard provides a quick view of sensor status, potential fire hazards, fire safety performance, fleet statistics, and several power quality metrics. Designed to report on fire safety and demonstrate Ting’s efficacy, the Dashboard offers enterprise customers a single location to view critical stats. View detailed metrics such as sensors installed and online, and the presence or history of electrical fire hazards.
Electrical fire hazards develop in unseen places such as cords and wiring that have been damaged from puncturing, bending or cracking insulation, which then begins to spark. With a couple minute install, the Ting sensor and app monitors all cords and wires in the home for sparking and micro-arcing. The app will alert to potential fire hazards and tell consumers what to do next to protect their families and belongings. Home owners receive monthly updates that include information about power quality to their home, any power outages that may have occurred, and relevant home and appliance care information.
